Aarong, meaning “village fair,” is one of the 18 social enterprises that have grown from BRAC, and ranked number one in Global Journal list of top 100 NGOs in 2013. We sell products in over 100 product categories—from traditional and modern clothing to gifts and household items—hand-made from a variety of materials. As a member of the World Fair Trade Organization, we have more than 65,000 artisans, 80% of whom are women and producers, often current or former BRAC microloan recipients manufacture Fair Trade Certified products.

Headquartered in Bangladesh’s capital, Dhaka, we are the leading branded lifestyle retailer, with a 68% handicraft market share. Our diverse product assortment is available in sixteen outlets across Bangladesh as well as in an online store aarong.com. Now the largest retail space in the country, our flagship outlet in Uttara exclusively offers an international standard shopping experience.
